webedition.org now in the hands of the community

The former owners of webedition.org, Benny Johnson und Florian Mertin, have decided to give the domain to the webEdition community, despite better offers.
A temporary redirect to webedition.de is already active.

With this domain the soon to be founded webEdition community association will get its own, recognized domain in the “communities’ TLD” .org. This way the future development of webEdition will also be recognized in an international context. This is even more important as webEdition is already the CMS of choice for dozens of non-german web sites.

Our long term goal is to join the different websites connected with webEdition in this new domain. A non-comprehensive list follows: http://documentation.webedition.de/ - the new online documentation, http://qa.webedition.de - the bug tracker and of course http://www.webedition.de.
